Glorious Goodwood

If you’ve ever spent a day at the fabulous Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit and Aerodrome, you’ll probably agree it's the best car racing event in the world. I’ve been twice and nothing compares. Based in West Sussex the Goodwood Motor Circuit originally opened its gates to the public on September 1948 to host Britain's very first post-war motor race meeting. For 18 years Goodwood was host to some very memorable racing and in August 1966 Goodwood closed its gates. Then in 1998 50 years to the day the track first opened, the present Earl of March, hosted the very first Goodwood revival meeting which was a huge success. The circuit was painstakingly restored to look exactly as it did in its heyday, down to the very last detail. So if you ever have the chance to see this amazing event held at the end of each September, do make the effort and go.
